Ta, Steve

I'm truly sad about the death of "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin. He educated a generation of people worldwide about conservation and nature, and glorified animals that don't always make the "cute list." His enthusiasm was infectuous.

His life may be over, but I doubt that his influence is. I wonder how many children he inspired to become veterinarians and vet techs, zoologists, wildlife officers, and animal rehabilitators. I believe that the ripple effect of his life will continue for many years to come.

Ta, Steve. I know there was much excitement at the Rainbow Bridge when you showed up.
